Dear MBP fans… I LOVE TULIPS! Sorry about that, first things first… Happy Friday! Congratulations! You made it to wrap up the week and if yours is like the Cooper household, it was a V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W week, because our children have Spring break next week and we all know Murphy’s law about the week before vacation (it takes forever) and the week of vacation (lightening speed fast).
So, in the slowness of this week, I was able to do some serious appreciation of my favorite part of fabulous Spring, tulips. You know me by now, I live for turtleneck season, but there is one thing that makes breaking out the spring/summer clothes easier and that is how much I love tulips. Obsessed a bit about them, huh, Mary Beth?!? YES! I planted more than 35 bulbs in my front garden last fall and more than 35 bulbs have bloomed. I LOVE It!
I did a deep introspective about this love and realized that I think it stems (flower-pun intended) from growing up in Florida, where tulips never bloomed. I mean, seriously, you plant these bulbs in the Fall and they live through the winter conditions to produce seriously beautiful flowers, which I love to use in my sessions. So, if you are looking for me and you find me standing in my front yard, you will probably get a big ol’ hug and I suggest you bring some fun tulip facts with you, because I could talk tulips all day! 🙂 What is your favorite part of Spring?
