Brainstorms… When do they happen for you? I have found inspiration in the strangest of places (hello! great idea at 2 a.m., but couldn’t you wait until you know… like 10 a.m.!) and more recently I have become even more addicted to Pinterest. After attending the Heidi Hope Photography Workshop last summer, the way I become inspired on Pinterest is SO DIFFERENT!
I start with an idea and then search for images related to that idea and VOILA! Pin-spiration!! Well, when the F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S Rachel from A Preppy State of Mind (you should read this blog TODAY!) contacted me about wanting to set up a newborn session, I began thinking…
I wanted to make a super cute newborn “cradle” that looked like a flower. One pin, two pins, three pins later, I found my “pin-spiration” and got to work making this coffee filter flower “cradle”. I used about 2 bunches of coffee filters and a hula hoop. I hot glued the coffee filters to the hula hoop and then to each other and WHOA!
Truth be told, I think Rachel thought that I WAS the one who was newborn-sleep-deprived when she saw what I had created, but once her sweet baby Madeline was placed in the flower cradle and she saw the images, well… can you be called a Professional “Pin-spiration” Maker? 🙂 When and where do you find inspiration?
