I think *fingers crossed* we are on the other side… FINALLY!! The Cooper Household has been battling the FLU for the last 10 days. I know what you are thinking…. Mary Beth, you have lost your mind – it isn’t the middle of winter and didn’t your children get their flu shots?? I agree with you on all parts of those statements. I couldn’t believe it when I took Brenna to the doctor two weeks ago when she wasn’t feeling well and the nurse said, “You know, I am going to get the flu test to see if she has the flu.” I guess it made sense, Brenna had so many of the flu symptoms, but oh my… what transpired next was like toy soldiers. All THREE of my children had the flu, with Jackson heading to school finally yesterday, after days of low-grade fevers. Thankfully, all of us had Tamiflu, which saved both me and my husband from getting anything, and Peyton and Jackson had less worse symptoms than our poor Brenna.
Needless to say, the Cooper family has spent quite a bit of quality time together the last two weeks and not only have I been thankful for our incredible doctor, but I have to be honest… I am so thankful for Netflix.
While I played nurse this week to my children, I have been working more from home. While I have been getting caught up on everything, I have enjoyed binge watching a hysterical show, “Last Man Standing”, which stars Tim Allen. This hysterical show has kept me laughing in between doing work, handing out medications, beverages and washing my hands. Our smart TV hooks up with Netflix and Amazon, giving us lots of great TV watching options. I am happy to have everyone back to good health, but thankful for the opportunity to be able to be home to take care of my little ones.
