Aren’t we all looking for financial peace? Brett and I are always looking for ways to budget, save, budget, save and have fun. Sometimes I feel as though we are really good at sticking to our budget and other times I feel as though we are really good at having fun, but not really focusing on what our overall budget looks like. Sometimes that has to do with life taking over and the next thing you know there isn’t as much left in the bank account as expected. YIKES! I have been the overseer of our budget and I felt as though Brett and I needed to focus in together and get strategic together about our financial future – enter Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace.
Brett and I decided to sign up for an in-person course, which took place over 9 weeks for 1 1/2 hours each session. We could have chosen an on-line course, but decided to do the in-person course, as we felt it held us more accountable. The instructor who ran the class used this same Dave Ramsey system and got out of $55K of debt. Amazing!
Quite honestly, it felt more like a private class, because there were only 2 others in class. We loved how the class is based on a biblical perspective. I feel as though Brett and I are much more on the same page with our budget; we are talking more about our finances, making saving a bigger priority and looking at how we can help pay off our debt. It was amazing and really the best part for me is the knowledge we can pass along to our children for their future.
