Hi my name is Mary Beth and I am the owner of Mary Beth’s Photography in Augusta, Ga ! I have an all natural light studio and I specialize in newborns, maternity , children and families. We provide custom backdrops and setups for our clients, while pampering them! I mostly take portraits of expecting moms, newborns, 6 month old babies, 1st birthday sessions and families! Here are some images of the type of photographer I am- Baby Photographer/ Family Photographer ( so you can do 2 types or as many as you want- its up to you! ) Then onto to our 1st Photography Lesson!! ❤️
While we are on distance learning for our children, I thought it would be fun to offer Photography Lessons for your children and perhaps for adults to learn some new tips and tricks to take better portraits, plus the different terms with photographer- What is ISO?, What is Aperture?, What is Shutter Speed?? , How do I take portraits indoors/outdoors? Some of the things we will be learning, as well as types of different photographers. Who knew there were so many types and you can choose your favorite type to pursue a possible career in.
Photography Lesson #1- Types of Photographers and Angles
Below is a list of the first group of photographers I spoke about on my live Facebook Video- www.facebook.com/MaryBethsPhotography
Photography Angles
Taking portraits from different angles is super important for photography. Taking portraits from above, down low and crouching down will give them a different look. Sometimes even taking portraits where you are down on the ground looking up… Trying out different angles will help you become a better photographer and each angle makes each portrait look different! So TODAY, I want am placing here a scavenger hunt and I want you to take pictures from different angles- get high, get low and take it from regular standing position. I want to SEE those pictures- use your iPhones, use your moms phone, iPads, DSLR cameras ( just use on Auto if you don’t know how to use it yet), point and shoot cameras. Tag me in your posts @Marybethsphotography with the hashtag #mbpphotographycamp. I can’t wait to see them!!
