So, I write this to you with a box of tissues next to my computer. My son Jackson is entering high school next year and I am a bit sentimental right now. I go from truly not believing that he is already old enough to be entering high school (wasn’t he just learning to walk!!???!!!) to being so very excited for all the things he will experience in this next stage of life. I remember being in high school like it was yesterday (wasn’t it, though??) and all the fun I had, the memories I made and the growing and learning I did!! Ironically enough, I was asked to take Senior Portraits for one of my friend’s daughters earlier in the year and loved reminiscing about how excited I was for my senior portraits, because it was such a unique experience! So, I decided to offer that to Rising Seniors in the Augusta, GA area and set up a Senior Representative Program for Mary Beth’s Photography. I have to tell you… I *really* loved meeting the future of tomorrow. I loved taking their portraits. I loved talking to them. I loved their energy. I loved seeing them interact together. Could my most favorite part of my job be taking Senior Portraits?? (OK! Who are we kidding?? I JUST LOVE MY JOB – all portraits!!!)
For example, meet Blaire Effler. This beautiful young woman is not only stunning on the outside, but one of the sweetest and kindest people I have met. She loves being the 3k’s leader on Sunday’s at True North Church, likes to create artwork in art class and club. Blaire’s favorite activity is going to the beach, lake or pool during the summer, so it wasn’t that surprising when she told me that she thinks being on the Fox Creek Swim team is fun, especially since Katherine (more on her soon) is a swim-mate. Blaire will be a wonderful elementary school teacher, after she graduates from college (she is hoping for Coastal Carolina or USC Aiken). Fox Creek High School is probably just happier with Blaire there, because she made me so happy when I got to take her portraits! What a positive energy!
Blaire is part of the Senior Representatives Program for Mary Beth’s Photography! She along with 5 other Rising Seniors (more on them over the next few weeks) have been hired to promote Mary Beth’s Photography’s Senior Portrait options.
