I really can’t explain how much I have grown personally and professionally in the last year. Have you ever had one of those moments in life when all of a sudden, you have a “light bulb” moment? You know, maybe it comes to you when it is 3 a.m. or maybe it is when you are driving in your car, but a moment that just simply… makes you smile and feel so proud! I had that the other day, when I was in my brand new STUDIO. It was quiet and all of a sudden I realized… I AM IN MY BRAND NEW STUDIO!!!! WHAT?!?
A year ago, I was signing up for my very first Heidi Hope Workshop (talk about a dream coming true), focusing in on my strengths as a photographer and feeling this itch to grow. Heidi helped me to grow in the creativity of my photography; she set a spark in me that has transformed my career.
Here is my example… The Very Hungry Caterpillar – wait for it… a CUSTOM SET!!! Did you see that one coming? Not me! I had a client contact me wanting to do a cake smash session for her son’s second birthday, as she had missed the first birthday. The Mom specifically wanted The Very Hungry Caterpillar as the theme, she brought the board book and a shirt for her son. I just had to add the creative behind this session. Heidi Hope said I had it in me, so… next thing you know, I am researching and looking for ways to make an adorable set for this adorable little boy. A few balloons, to make the swirly look, a hand from Sydney Lykins to help me paint and VIOLA! The Very Hungry Caterpillar came to life. Life… amazing! 🙂 Special thanks to Heidi Hope for setting that creative spark in me and to Sydney Lykins for all that swirly painting!
