CSRA Kids is always the first place we look for family fun in the area. They always have all the up to date information on what’s going on in the area. From story times to open gyms and festivals, they have it all. And they never disappoint for fall!
If you’re looking for some family friendly spooky fun, look no further than the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain. Every Friday – Sunday from now until October 29th enjoy the day and night at Stone Mountain. You can adventure on the Summit Skyride that transports you more than 825 feet above the ground to the top of Stone Mountain for a gorgeous view like no other. Your little ones will enjoy meeting characters from their favorite story books. Hope on a scenic railroad ride to hear The Three Little Pigs like you’ve never heard before. Stay until it’s dark for massive jack-o-lanterns, a giant glowing pumpkin tree, glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, and glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs. This is the festival of all festivals and you will have some very happy and tired kids on the way home.
For a night of entertainment in the beautiful downtown of North Augusta, check out the Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee. Held on October 27th and 28th, this annual, family-oriented festival activities include live entertainment, an awesome variety of great food, arts and crafts vendors, car show, corn hole tournament, amusement rides, and plenty of activities for the kids including a costume contest, face painting, clowns, kiddie rides & inflatables.
Steed’s Dairy in Grovetown offers their guests wholesome outdoor family fun with hayrides, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, face painting, pony cart rides, a giant slide, jumping pillow and so much more. Their famous corn maze is a secret world of twists, turns and dead ends. They are ready for you and your family every weekend. This is the quintessential fall family outing that might just become an annual tradition for you.
After the spooky season is over, the Columbia County Fall Fair comes to town. From November 2nd – 12th, fair fun is in full swing. Get your funnel cakes and deep fried Oreos. Watch shows like the demolition derby and banana derby and don’t miss a ride on the ferris wheel.
