Your newborn baby goes from this little precious bundle of love who may or may not keep you up all hours of the night to an adventurous, hilarious, clever, beautiful one year old toddler. And I promise, you’ll want to soak it all in!
You’ll want to bottle up their first smile, their laugh, the way they crawl towards their favorite toy, the way they eat blueberries, their chubby thighs, their wobbles when they’re attempting to walk and everything in between. During the pre consultation, we’ll discuss what you want your session to look and feel like. The custom set designs and any special heirloom pieces you’d like to bring and include in your session. Some parents go for simple and classic, others want something fun and colorful and some want to incorporate their own hobbies, passions or careers into the session. And then there are parents who are unsure of exactly what they’re looking for and let us handle the creative aspect of the set designs. Whatever you choose, we want to ensure that your vision comes to life!
Your Newborn Portrait Session will be a breeze with all of the headbands, hats, wraps and props. You might say we have a slight obsession with all things adorable and tiny but we don’t care. 😉 With this session, you don’t have to worry about a thing, including what your little peanut should wear. With our years of experience, all the tiny details are taken care of. There is plenty of time, I know all the tricks to keep your newborn safe, warm and content. And we also want you to be included in the session so family portraits with parents and siblings are always encouraged! We even have a Client Closet for all you new moms!
Six month sessions are at a time when your little one will be starting to sit on their own, doing a little babbling and possibly even crawling! So much changes in the first six months and we want to make sure we capture all this magic! Six month sessions also include the custom set designs and with all of the fun props we offer, the ideas are endless. With the help of some tricks I use (think feather wands and rattles), we’ll get some adorable smiles, funny faces and a few of the most precious expressions you’ll have displayed in your home asap.
The final session included in our First Year Moments Collection is the One Year Cake Smash Portrait Session. As always, a pre consultation and custom set designs are included. An extra sweet treat with this session is a custom, themed cake from Dolce Delights by Dana. And big bonus for all those big brothers and sisters (and mom and dad), you take the leftover cake home to enjoy yourselves! Yum! There are a few teary eyed parents that leave the One Year Cake Smash Session. They cannot believe how fast their little one has grown and is now a full blown toddler who is sometimes walking (but always mobile in some way), talking and exploring the world around them.
We don’t want you to miss out on the chance to capture all these moments because you won’t get them back. Portraits will bring you back to that time. You’ll remember the newborn smell, the sound of their babbling and the pride you felt watching their first steps. We all wish we could bottle up these moments but to have them in portraits, being able to display them and show your little one when they’re older, is a wonderful feeling!
