{ Friday’s Favorite Things – Sunshine Session }

Oh how I just love being creative!  When a client called and said that they wanted a “You are My Sunshine” themed cake smash session for their child, I just couldn’t wait to get my hands dirty with creativity!  Immediately, I just envisioned a bunch of large daisies and boy oh boy was I excited with the way that these turned out! Here is a little tutorial:

I used card stock paper to make the daisies firm and was able to get two petals per page – perfect.  I used the whole page vertically to make the petal and then cut them out and folded them in half really making those daisies stand out and really giving them a great dimension!  I researched that six petals make up a daisy and added those to the circles I cut out of paper for the centers.  With my hot glue gun, I attached all the parts together where they overlap and then connected them to the center!

And oh my… how precious did this session turn out? I feel as though I am in a field of daisies just enjoying all the beauty they bring!
