Brenna and I decided to make Bath Bombs as gifts for Brett’s Mom and sister for Mother’s Day last weekend. It was so much fun, so easy to do and bath bombs are so popular now!
I found this recipe from Doterra, which are the essential oils I use. It was fun to get our hands dirty, knowing we were going to make two special ladies in our lives so happy! Do you have any special gift ideas that are DIY and homemade?
1 cup baking soda
1 cup citric acid ( found in grocery stores canning section)
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup coconut oil
8-10 drops of your favorite essential oil
Mold for bath bomb ( we bought ours at Hobby Lobby)
Mix baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and coconut oil together. Add essential oils. The texture should be like wet sand. Add optional coloring or flower petals if desired. ( we added dried rose petals) Press mixture into mold and let sit 24 hours.
