The Cooper family has expanded by one adorable four-legged furry creature this month and I am so excited *EXHAUSTED*, but SO excited! MBP Fans… meet Lexi!!! I mean, come on – with that cute face and adorable ears and sweetheart little snuggle bug. We had been talking about getting a puppy around Christmas, but with that *little* investment we like to call my studio brewing, Brett and I just knew it wasn’t the right time, so we decided we were going to talk about it getting a puppy in the summer.
Between then and now, Brett had to have shoulder surgery, so I thought… “Why not ALSO get a puppy??” While nursing a husband back to good health, a puppy will help him feel better!! This train of thought led me to call someone from Aiken who was selling dachshund puppies and he said, “Why not come up and meet the puppies?”
Yes, my friends… FAMOUS.LAST.WORDS!!! I mean, how could you not fall in love with Lexi? The one LITTLE step I neglected to research was how a puppy was going to react during the evening hours – you know when the rest of us, who haven’t had a newborn in the house in about 9 years – were trying to sleep. So, our first night how was a bit of a shock, but OH! what a fabulous treat to have Lexi in our lives! What did we do without her???
