In my last FFT, I told you about making jam (delicious!! read it here, if you haven’t already!) and this week, I am telling you the BEST BBQ spot in town – Pot Smoker BBQ. THIS is the place to take your kids for their “First Day of School is Tomorrow – Let’s Celebrate!” dinner! Admittedly, I am trying not to drool all over the computer while I type this!
What I love best about the story of Pot Smoker BBQ is close to my heart – hard working people who love what they do! Do you know that this delicious BBQ started in a trailer truck and became so productive, they created their own store which opened earlier this year? When I asked them about their hours (they are only open Thursday – Saturday), they told me that good BBQ is only open over the weekend, because good BBQ takes time to smoke and prepare. Yum, Yum and more YUM!!! **I think my stomach just growled so loudly you may have heard it, too!!**
Pot Smoker BBQ might sound familiar to you, because they are always helping out in the community AND their sauces are featured in our local grocery stores around North Augusta! My favorite is Brenda’s Yummy Sauce – it is sweet and delicious.
A fun family tip is, if you bring your family on Thursday nights, every paying adult can bring a child to EAT FOR FREE!!! WHAT?!? And quite honestly, their portion sizes are so large, but don’t mind me while I eat all of my favorite dish – the Pulled Pork Sandwich with baked beans and green beans.
I can’t wait to go back and eat at Pot Smoker BBQ! You might just see me there sooner than you think!!!! 🙂 Happy Eating!!
