This one is for you, the parents. It’s always important to make time for yourselves and take time away from your little loves. And as hard as it is to find a babysitter, get everything in the house ready and yourselves (showers are a luxury when you’re in the thick of motherhood 😉), it’s worth it. So we’ve come up with some fun date night ideas so we can at least take that off your plate. From fun activities to comfy movie theaters to relaxing outdoors, these ideas are sure to give you some inspiration for your own date night.
Top Golf is a top choice for a date night (see what I did there?). It offers adult fun, food and beverages and has more than 30 climate-controlled bays for driving golf balls and relaxing. You might not be able to get on the world renowned course on Washington Road, but you can get your swings in at Top Golf Augusta with a lot less pressure and a few more cocktails. With a variety of games and a maximum of six people per bay, it’s a fun night to bring along some friends too!
Another date night that might not be on your radar, is candle making at Augusta Candle Company. You’ll spend a relaxing evening blending and curating your own candle. With over 100+ fragrance oils, a variety of different jar sizes and styles, all natural soy-based wax and cotton paper wicks, you’ll leave with best clean burning candle ever. They offer date nights so stop by before you go to dinner and make your candles and by the time you finish dinner (and maybe some dessert) your candles will be ready to pickup.
If you’re more in the mood to sit in a cool, dark place, we have the movie theater you won’t want to miss. Riverwatch Cinemas is the place to see the newest movies! You’ll relax in powered recliners and be able to enjoy the show with a beer or glass of wine of your choice. It really elevates the move watching experience for sure. Just be sure you don’t fall asleep because it’s very tempting. Make your reservation before heading to the theater to get your favorite seat.
It’s a beautiful season to be outside enjoying the weather so we had to include some of our favorite outdoor spots for drinks. Whether you’re more into beer or like a glass of wine, we have a place for you. Riverwatch Brewery. It was transformed from an old warehouse to a small production brewery with a whole new interior, you can get a tour of the place on Saturday afternoons at 3:00 and 6:00 pm. You can also request a tour at any time and they’ll happily oblige as long as there’s enough staff. They encourage you to bring food in with you and enjoy some of their beers with a flight (you’ll want to try them all, I promise!).
If wine is more your thing, stop by Three Star Vineyard and Orchard is a must visit. This family owned vineyard boasts acres of muscadine and scuppernong vines. The views are stunning and the wine is always tasty. This time of year, they offer food trucks and live entertainment on Saturday afternoons. And you must try the wine slushies are a must try. We hope this sparks some inspiration for a wonderful date day or night. And although you’ll probably end up talking about your adorable kids and laughing at all the silliness and chaos in your life at the moment, you won’t have to share your dessert or clean up a spilled lemonade (it’s the little things).
