It’s already that time! Alarm clocks, sharpened pencils and after school crazy schedules! And although my youngest is a senior this year (how on Earth did that even happen?! 😢), it still hits us hard.  It seems like the days fly by and I don’t know about you and your family, but dinner is usually the last thing we think about. Well, this year, I’ve tried to make an effort to be more efficient with our dinner and meal planning.
Cue this delicious and dare I say gorgeous, baked ziti. It’s a crowd pleaser in our home and very simple to put together. Let’s get into it!
The ingredients for this one are basic and you might have on hand already! You’ll need;
1 lb ground beef
1 – box Ziti Rigati pasta
1 – 8 oz bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
1 – jar of pasta sauce (whichever brand or style of sauce you prefer)
Caribique Beef Rub Big and Bold
And here’s how it all comes together. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook the pasta as directed on the box. While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef in a saucepan. Add Caribique seasoning (the amount is up to your preference) to the beef. Drain the pasta after it’s done. Add the seasoned beef, pasta, sauce and most of the mozzarella cheese (put some aside to sprinkle on top) to an oblong baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top and place in your preheated oven for 45 minutes to one hour.
I serve this ziti with a side salad and dinner bread. It’s a great weeknight meal and one to add to your rotation! Hope this helps your family get the chance for a family dinner night in the midst of the back to school craziness.
