You know that person in life who you want spoil? That person who is your rock, your biggest fan and makes you a better person and you just can’t find enough ways to tell them how much you appreciate them? Well, that person for me happens to be my husband, Brett. I am always trying to find ways to show him how much I appreciate him and I happened to hit the jackpot this month! We listen to a local Christian radio station and I was on their website one day and saw something that made me do a double take – Was that really a meet and greet promotion for Brett’s favorite Christian band, Sidewalk Prophets in North Augusta?? I mean Brett has been a fan of them for years, after seeing them as part of a concert where the headliner didn’t impress Brett, but the Sidewalk Prophet’s lead singer Dave did.
Sidewalk Prophets are so big in our life that during my Dad’s Memorial Service, Brett played “This is Not Goodbye”, one of their songs. So, when I saw the promotion, I decided what better way to thank Brett than by surprising him. After a few emails to the band, I secured an “Up Close and Personal” experience with them. I mean, Brett was able to bring his guitar and PLAY and SING with the BAND!!!! The whole band signed his guitar and gave him a pick, too. We also attended the VIP pizza party with the band, as well, before we saw their concert. I don’t think my husband has stopped smiling and the Sidewalk Prophets have even bigger fans now! What a wonderful day!!
