We had the best time at this winter w-one-derland theme cake smash portrait session. Baby E was all smiles, it was certainly her time to shine! And big sister knew just what she was doing as well! I had the privilege of capturing baby E’s big sister and it’s just simply wonderful to watch families grow. I’ve grown especially fond of this family as they are a part of our First Year Moments Collection. Being able to capture life’s biggest moments is an honor that will never be lost on me.
Every session is always unique as every family makes it their own. When I photographed big sister a few years ago, the family wanted to incorporate a few sentimental items of loved ones who have passed away. And, following tradition, they had ideas on how to incorporate those items again with baby E. In the portrait with the wood backdrop, we were able to use the items that are special to their family. These portraits not only capture their beautiful little one year old, but also hold memories of loved ones and that’s a pretty amazing combination.
The vision for this session was to really embrace everything winter, with pinks and lots of sparkles. And what a cute play on words with this winter w-one-derland theme cake smash. See what we did there? 😉 Everything from the sparkly snowflakes to the headband to the dress really brought this whole custom set design together. It couldn’t have been more w-one-derful!
