I am coming up on 90 days of being in my new studio and wanted to give you all a little behind the scenes tour! It is a special place for me that offers versatility and creativity for my boutique portrait photography business. It is also a space where I can truly bring my client’s visions to life!
The floor to ceiling windows offer an abundance of beautiful natural light to work with. Working with natural light keeps the equipment to a minimum, which provides a safe environment for you and your family to feel relaxed when in my studio. I find that relaxing and enjoying the space makes for great portraiture!
The open and flexible studio provides space galore to achieve a variety of custom sets for each client. Each day of working in my natural light studio brings a variety of portraits to capture – from pampering the mother-to-be at a maternity session, to working with sweet newborns and children of all ages – I work to achieve the look my clients desire. I especially love being able to pop outside and get beautiful outdoor portraits with the surrounding woods and lake views that my new studio now offers.
Achieving my client’s dreams is easy to do with the limitless props on hand from headbands, bows, blankets, and wraps in a rainbow of colors. I also have maternity dresses and floral crowns for the expecting mothers, so they don’t have to worry about purchasing something for this one use. I love getting creative and making visions come to life by designing custom sets and backdrops, as well as by offering a variety of unique props for my clients to use.
And after it’s all said and done, my clients and I sit together, enjoy some fantastic oatmeal crème pies by the fabulous Dolce Delights by Dana and have their Session Premiere where they preview all the images and discuss which products will work best for their family.
To keep it all together, I utilize a clean, and organized workspace complete with my favorite Bath & Body Works products! I know my parents love the same stress relief and energy scents that I do! And new moms, don’t worry, I’ve got a baby changing station for those special surprises that sometimes happen with a newborn…or even a one-year-old! I hope you come to visit me in my new all-natural light studio – to relax, indulge, and capture life’s beautiful moments.
