Are you a mother to be expecting your first bundle of joy?  Or are you ready to welcome baby #2 or #3? We want to offer some tips on things to consider when booking your maternity session.  Read on for more details!

Tip #1 – Oh baby!  Documenting your pregnancy is not just for your first born.  Capture the joy of baby #2 or #3 or #4, etc… Show that middle child how special they are!

Tip #2 – Timing?  It’s best to book between 28 and 35 weeks so that your bump is visible but you’re are not uncomfortable.  You want to feel your best, not just look your best!

Tip #3 – Location?  We can have some fun in my all natural light studio or take it outdoors to your favorite spot around town.

Tip #4 – Makeup?  Don’t underestimate the importance of a good contour or just the right pop of color on your lips.  I have a professional makeup artist that is included in our Maternity Pampering Session, that will help you look and feel your best.

Tip #5 – Vision?  Don’t hesitate to communicate your vision to me.  Find images online that you like and share them with me and we will work together to bring your ideas to reality.  If you aren’t sure, that’s ok too. I have the experience to showcase the beauty your pregnancy.

Tip #6 – What to wear?  I think we struggle with this as women even when we are not pregnant!  For a maternity session, I recommend two outfit choices and sticking to solids over prints so we can capture that beautiful bump.  We also have a variety of beautiful maternity gowns at the studio for you to choose from that is all part of the experience we offer.  It’s up to you to go clingy or flowy just remember that seamless underwear and a good bra go a long way!

Tip #7 – Enjoy yourself!  Soon enough you will be pampering someone besides yourself, maybe you already are juggling some tots at home, so soak up the “me” time while you can!  I will be there to capture the precious connection you have with your baby to be. Just relax and feel the love!

I love pampering our mothers-to-be and providing everything you need for a unique and customized photography experience.  It is my pleasure to capture these heartfelt moments as you anticipate the arrival of your bundle of joy. I would love the opportunity to speak with you and plan your perfect session!

All My Best,
Mary Beth
