Your baby will only be this little once. Newborn photography is about preserving the tiny details and the people who loved them from the very beginning.
Here are five newborn portraits I always recommend capturing during a newborn session.
1. Baby All by Themselves
Those tiny fingers, sleepy expressions, little toes, and sweet baby rolls deserve to be remembered exactly as they were. There’s something so special about newborn portraits; they’re among my favorite moments to capture.
2. Baby With Mom
There is something so special about photographing a new mother with her baby. These quiet moments become some of the most treasured photographs. There’s such a special connection between a mom and her baby. The sleepless nights, the cuddles, the smiles, the cries. It’s important to capture this time behind the lens; looking back on this in a few years, it all seems worth it.
3. Baby With Dad
Dad and baby deserve their own moment too. These images capture the beginning of a relationship your family will cherish for years to come. Those special bonds start here: the comforting snuggles and sweet smiles. I absolutely love watching these bonds start and grow as they grow up and come back to my studio.
4. The Whole Family
Your family has just grown, and this is the first chapter of your new family story. Make sure you have a photograph with everyone together. The imperfect moments might just be my favorite: the laughs, trying to get everyone looking at the camera, the love. It’s all just perfect.
5. The Little Details
Don’t forget the tiny things. Their eyelashes, their toes, their little hands wrapped around your finger, and all the details that will change so quickly. I love to get every moment my clients want. Working with you to achieve what you want captured. Little feet, monograms, important attributes, specific colors, it all is so important for me to capture for my clients.
6. Sibling Portraits
First babies are so special! So are my sweet sibling pictures; I absolutely love capturing that sibling love with the next baby. They are so important. Their bond, their smiles, and baby kisses. The imperfect moments of laughing, looking everywhere but the lens, the forehead kisses. That bond starts here and is so important. Siblings are such an important part of this for me. So special ❤️
