Happy New Year! ✨❤️ It feels so good to welcome in a fresh, new year, right?! A reset, a clean slate, a deep breathe. I am so excited for all the possibilities that 2021 will bring and here at MaryBeth’s Photography, we have a few changes and I’m shifting my focus a little bit on what I want to offer you, my clients. I have been listening to you and know that after any session, there is little time for busy mom’s to have portraits printed, framed and actually displayed in your home. It makes me so sad when clients love their portraits so much, but they sit in their downloaded files folder on their laptop or only get a moment to shine on social media. It’s wonderful to have the digital files, you’ll have those forever! But I want you to look at those portraits everyday, when you’re rushing off to school drop off, when you have a baby at your feet and a toddler running circles around you while you’re cooking dinner, when you’re taking a moment to unwind after bed time with a glass of wine. You’ll be able to catch a glimpse at those beautiful portraits and they’ll most definitely bring a smile to your face and bring back a flood of unforgettable memories. That’s what I want to give you! So this year, the packages are being tweaked and I want to include an actual, physical products you can take home and immediately hang in your home to enjoy! I know you’re busy and I would love to take this off your plate.
This upcoming year I also have set an intention on more client connection. I want to get to my clients even better, their families and their styles. I absolutely love working with all of you, it’s one of my favorite parts about this job! I want to know when your kids birthday’s are, I want to know that your husband loves golf, I want to know that you don’t drink coffee, but love tea. And I want you and your family to feel comfortable with me. It not only makes for a more fun time at the session, it also makes for great portraits (which is the goal afterall). So there is going to be some opportunities to get to know each other better with a NEW Mombassadors referral program. This one is still in the planning process but I couldn’t resist giving you a little tease. I’ll keep you posted as to when applications will open to become a Mombassador, but basically, if you’re willing to talk up your experience at Mary Beth’s Photography to friends and family, show off your beautiful portraits of you and your family, in person and on social media, and would like a few perks, you should definitely apply!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked “What do we do now that our First Year Moments Package is over?” After the cake is smashed, your baby is now a toddler and there are such special moments to capture during the second year! The quick and easy answer is to book a family session, it’s usually once a year, to capture all those wonderful moments only a toddler can provide. I will say that these are some of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding sessions. Toddlers offer a unique type of challenge and if you have one, you know what I mean. They’re unpredictable, curious about everything and if they’re not happy, they’ll let you know. They also don’t like to sit still. I often see the parents’ face when they’re leaving the session. You know the face, that, I can’t believe we just wasted money and time for our kids to act like monkeys for an hour, look. And I always smile and just think, I can’t wait for them to see their portraits, because I know I have lots that are frame worthy. Again, this idea was a collaboration with you asking for more information and access with me, wanting a deeper connection with you. We are starting a Facebook group, MBP VIP Group! This is a group for all of my clients, those who are interested in sessions, from moms to be, to moms of multipes, to soon to be moms! You’ll be some of the first to know about session dates, when there’s a promotion going on, classes I’ll be teaching throughout the year, when Limited Edition sessions are available and more! Nothing disappoints me like clients missing out on sessions, because they have either missed them or they are fully booked. When I get an email asking about Christmas Portrait Sessions when they have come and gone, I feel disappointed for you! I don’t want anyone to miss out on all the opportunites we put together! So this group will be another reminder to you to book those sessions quickly, before it’s too late. It will also be a place where you can chat with eachother, share motherhood war stories, help a family decide on what to wear for their session, tag friends that might be interested in upcoming sessions.
